Background & Experience
John Medak joined NAI Norris, Beggs & Simpson in 1998 following his relocation from the Bay Area, where he worked for CB Richard Ellis. From 1999 to 2011, John completed more than 1,000 leasing and sales transactions totaling in excess of $435 million in total consideration. He has frequently been recognized as an NAI NBS Top Deal Maker, and has been #1 Deal Maker of the Year the past four years. He was NAI NBS’ #1 Top Producer in 2011, and has made four consecutive appearances as an NAI NBS Top 5 Producer.
John has garnered recognition from numerous organizations for his brokerage successes. In 1999, he was nominated for CAB’s Rookie of the Year, and the National Association of Realtors recognized him as one of the top 5 brokers in the country under the age of 30 in 2001. In 2007 and 2008, he achieved NAI Global’s Gold Member status, awarded to the top 3% of brokers in a 5,000-plus network. He has been a CoStar Power Broker four of the past five years, and was runner-up for CAB’s 2009 Office Broker of the Year. He was nominated for the 2011 CAB Office Broker of the Year, and was also a nominee for CAB’s Bill Naito Award, which recognizes the most complex regional transaction of the year, in 2010 and 2011.
Education
John has a B.A. in Management and Finance, with a real estate emphasis, from the University of San Diego.
